I put significantly more effort than usual into this one, because it comes from a place very dear to me: Vermont.
Moving to Montreal for work was a very good decision from many standpoints, but city life isn’t for me. Every day I long for farmland, forests, and rolling hills… the sort of stuff I took for granted growing up. I think that longing is part of my drive to paint landscapes.
I based this piece off of the area around Duffy Road, roughly halfway between the five corners of Essex Junction and Milton… I spent hundreds of hours biking the roads in that area, it’s nice and quiet.← Back to Gallery
